The Bankruptcy Commission "ESAR", in collaboration with the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL), and the National Competitiveness Center, held a workshop in Riyadh titled "Skills for Insolvency Trustees in Cross-Border Insolvency Proceedings" on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, corresponding to 25 Muharram 1446 AH.
The workshop, led by international experts, aimed to develop the practical application of cross-border insolvency procedures and to share knowledge and expertise in this area. It also addressed the provisions of the cross-border insolvency rules applicable in Saudi, compared to international experiences and practices, and highlighted the essential skills required for insolvency trustees in performing their related tasks.
The workshop was attended by a number of insolvency trustees and representatives from relevant public and international bodies, with more than 38 specialized participants in attendance.
The workshop successfully achieved its objectives, paving the way for future specialized meetings in this area as part of Eisar's ongoing education and efforts to enhance the performance of insolvency trustees.
