The Bankruptcy Commission "ESAR", in collaboration with the Commercial Judiciary Unit, the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL), and the National Competitiveness Center, held a workshop in Riyadh titled "An Overview of International Judicial Skills in Cross-Border Insolvency Procedures" on Tuesday, 24 Muharram 1446 AH, corresponding to July 30, 2024.

The workshop aimed to clarify the conceptual framework of cross-border procedures and the provisions of the cross-border insolvency rules applicable in Saudi, compared to international experiences and practices.

The workshop was attended by a number of judges from the commercial circuits in Saudi and representatives from relevant public and international bodies, with more than 34 specialized participants in attendance.

The workshop concluded successfully, achieving its intended objectives and paving the way for a series of specialized meetings on this subject as part of ESAR's awareness-raising plan regarding the provisions of the law.
