The Bankruptcy Commission holds a workshop titled: “Impact of the Civil Transactions Law on Bankruptcy Procedures”

As part of the continuous education programs held by the Bankruptcy Commission for officeholders, experts and practitioners, SBC held a workshop titled: “Impact of the Civil Transactions Law on Bankruptcy Procedures", on Sunday, October 15, 2023G in Mövenpick Hotel in Riyadh.

The workshop aimed to raise awareness and introduce the sources of the statutory rule in light of the adoption of a civil code. It also aimed to introduce the legal personality in the civil transactions law, the provisions of kinship and its relationship to the Bankruptcy Law, and estimate the damage in cases of contract termination. It also defined matters related to the claim examination and the release of obligation, in addition to the inventory of bankruptcy assets and related funds and rights, priorities of debts, sponsorship and bankruptcy.

The workshop was attended by bankruptcy practitioners and those interested in the Bankruptcy Law from various sectors, including banks, legal, advisory and accounting offices, bankruptcy officeholders and experts.​
