The symposium titled "Saudi Bankruptcy Law - Current Trends and Future Developments" was held in cooperation with the King and Spalding, and Saudi Central Bank, on Wednesday 13th of Shaaban 1442 A.H, corresponding to 31th of March 2021 A.D.
The symposium's aim was to identify the best methods of a successful financial restructuring plan, the Central Banks' role in enabling corporate restructuring, finding solutions for distressed businesses, countries role in supporting and promoting the economic role of businesses undergoing financial restructuring procedure, as well as protecting assets in light of bankruptcy provisions and strengthening the power of the judiciary.The Central Bank, represented by Mr. Abdullah Sharad al-Anzi, presented their paper where it highlights the Saudi Central Bank's efforts and the provisions issued in regards to the banks and officeholders. (424) attendees benefited from the symposium and got their questions answered by the speakers.
