The aim of the six plenary sessions was to promote a greater understanding of a successful financial restructuring and maintain the value of the company through bankruptcy regulations, as well as identify the frameworks and tools of financial restructuring provided by the Saudi Bankruptcy Law, and the importance of understanding early warning signs of financial distress, which can be achieved by reviewing a number of international applications in corporate financial restructuring procedures.

Number of experts and professionals specialized in bankruptcy settlements attended the symposium to benefit from it. Examples of International applications of corporate financial restructuring procedures were presented along with a discussion on the challenges in managing these procedures and ways to enhance their success elements. To provide the basic knowledge, skills and behaviors that enables the officeholder, professional, creditor or debtor to manage financial restructuring procedures efficiently and professionally through practical situations in the United States, Europe and the Arabian Gulf.

It is worth mentioning that the symposium witnessed more than (350) specialists who benefited from the sessions and the accompanying awareness booth that aimed to raise awareness about the Bankruptcy Law and its procedures. The booth provided visitors with copies of the publications issued by the Commission, the booth also included an interactive screen service called "Test Your Knowledge in Bankruptcy Law" that had specific questions about the Bankruptcy Law and Implementing Regulations, the result appear automatically once the exam is completed.​
