Eisar, in cooperation with the College of Law at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, organized a focus group titled “Sound Decision-Making in Bankruptcy Cases: A Discussion on Best Practices and Challenges” as part of continuing education programs directed toward bankruptcy officeholders and experts.

The session was held on Monday, 19 Jumada Al-Awwal 1447 AH (corresponding to November 10, 2025) at the Conference and Events Center on the university’s main campus in Riyadh.

The focus group aimed to discuss and explore key challenges and best practical approaches faced by officeholders and experts in making sound decisions in bankruptcy cases. It addressed the realities of decision-making and reviewed examples of officeholder decisions that may pose difficulties or challenges — such as decisions on contract termination during financial reorganization procedures, decisions to close proceedings, the assessment of claims, and debtor-initiated motions — while presenting practical recommendations to support officeholders and experts and improve the quality of decision-making in bankruptcy matters.

The session lasted two hours, and benefited 45 participants, including bankruptcy officeholders, experts, and members of the College of Law at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University. The focus group also provided a platform for exchanging experiences, understanding challenges, and identifying best practices.
