H.E. Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, Minister of Commerce and Supervisor of the Bankruptcy Committee (EISAR), inaugurated today in Riyadh the EISAR Conference 2025, in the presence of a number of ministers, officials, and experts from various countries around the world.
In his opening speech, His Excellency said:
“I am pleased to welcome you to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and to EISAR Conference 2025, which brings together experts in business continuity and restructuring from across the globe, at a time when the Kingdom has achieved advanced indicators in legislative and procedural reforms that enable it to serve as a regional hub for debt restructuring and financial reorganization solutions for economic entities.”
He emphasized that hosting this conference in Riyadh reflects the Kingdom’s strong interest and deep commitment to supporting the continuity of economic activities, and its keenness to contribute to shaping a qualitative future that overcomes financial distress—being one of the most influential economies in the world.
The conference is held from 13–14 October 2025, with the participation of several local and international entities, most notably the World Bank, the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL), and the International INSOL organization.
The sessions will discuss the evolution of relevant legislation, effective strategies for business restructuring, proactive approaches to prevent distress through early-warning systems and risk-management mechanisms, and a range of specialized topics addressing the accelerating economic changes and potential financial crises.
