In a Town Hall meeting at the Arab East Colleges: The Bankruptcy Commission Reviews the New Bankruptcy Law

​​​​On Wednesday 23/1/1440, in collaboration with the Department of Law at the Arab East Colleges, the Bankruptcy Commission conducted a town hall meeting under the banner of “the New Bankruptcy Law.” The meeting was moderated by Sheik Ahmed bin Saleh AlAbudi (PhD)– a judge and member of the Commercial Court Commission – and Majed bin Abdulrhaman AlRasheed – the head of the Bankruptcy Commission – and Maher bin Othman AlSaeed – Law consultant and head of the Bankruptcy Law project. Among the attendants was Saeed Turki Almela (PhD) – the Dean of Graduate School – and Khalid Othman Alomair – the chair of the Department of Law – and postgraduate and faculty members at college.

The Law and its objectives were introduced in the meeting along with Ease of Doing Business Index that measures laws that support business. Laws related to the Bankruptcy Law and its Implementing Regulations - that clarify and outline its procedures -  in Saudi Arabia were also discussed during the meeting.
